The Glass Mechanic X Moonboot Thomas Trans Yellow Horn Recycler
Two of the ohio boys Rob and Nate have come together to slay this epic recylcer. Featuring Ghost antidote on the body and Moonboot’s dichro tech inside of the horns and marbles for that extra sparkle. Rob has shaped up a gem with a crazy sharp shred off the perc into the double uptakes and a nice steady drain to match that flow!
The Glass Mechanic Biography
Rob, aka The Glass Mechanic, is one of the up and coming artist local to Headies Hideout here in Columbus, Ohio. Rob started blowing glass with Willy and Tedrow over at their studio here in town.
Rob got on the torch in early 2016 and has not looked back. It’s amazing to watch someone pour their heart and soul into something….along with their intense work ethic….and see the results. Rob has progressed rapidly from the fundamentals and quickly developed a knack for running the lathe. Rob has had several successful lines including carb caps and Sake bottles. Rob finds his inspiration from clean work, Jake C, Deppe, and always strives to be better than the day before. That’s gonna be hard to beat. His style and talents continue to evolve as we are always excited to see what Rob spins up next!
An Ohio Native, Rob enjoys guns, drag racing, dirt bikes, fishing and…….glassblowing. Before he was spinning glass Rob was turning wrenches and was damn good at that too!
Nate AKA Moonboot is one of my personal favorite artist nationally and he is located right here in central Ohio. Nate works out of the Mansfield area with the Old Country Blew Glass crew and has been on the torch over 20 years going back to 1998. Nate is an all around good guy and country boy to boot. When he is not blowing glass you can find him out in the woods hunting or fishing.
Known for his signature flint knapping work, Nate has a steady hand and soul when cold working arrowheads, daggers and other glass creations.
When he isnt making sharp objects, Moonboot is working up about any other type glass style you can imagine… dichro, millis, retti, linework, UV, highly function rigs, pendants, pipes, sculptures, glass chains, honeycomb, on the lathe or not….One of the most diverse artist you will meet while killing each style he tries. Nate has worked with and trained under some of the biggest names in the business….cough… Eusheen …cough…
“I get a lot of my inspiration from nature and other artist in the industry. There are so many people extending the limits on what can be done with Boro. It keeps me excited about learning new things and pushing my work forward.” – Moonboot
