Dabson Brown Recycler
We started working with Bob aka Dabson glass several years back now when he first got on the torch with the Olde Country Blew Glass crew. He has been on the torch since 2014 and hasn’t looked back. Bob is from the Mansfield area but is considering a move out west.
Bob has kept after his craft progressing rapidly from spoons and pendants to water spinners and now sculptural works. Dabson is not afraid to invest in himself taking glasses from Steve Sizelove, Banjo, and more. The progression is constant with this one.
When asked about his hobbies and interest Bob had this to say, “I’ve been a skateboarder for 18 years, practiced Thai kick boxing, wrestling and Jiu Jitsu throughout my teen / high school years. I have been writing graffiti since about 7th grade. I make music and also ski and snowboard. I’ve always been attracted to street culture along with freight train graffiti specifically. I love camping, I travel as often as possible and meditate often. I also like to party!”
Dabson finds his inspiration in many forms “Meditation, graffiti, skateboarding, cannabis, reading, music, love, traveling, learning new things, seeing new places, my family & friends, my dogs, the American pipe movement, the hard times we all go through, hot rod culture, the power of the mind, people from all walks of life and street culture in general. Really anybody who stays true to what they believe in at all costs despite what society thinks about it.”
